Welcome to CigarHawk.com. It took me awhile but I am here. Who would have ever thought? About a year and a half ago or so I was doing short reviews on my Facebook page and then moved to a blog and now, a website. Crazy. What started as a hobby has become a way of life and a passion and I am grateful to each of you that have supported me along the way.
Please feel free to look around, tell me what you think about it. I am open to feedback and suggestions. I did all of this myself with no real knowledge of what the hell I was doing.
As many of you know, I recently moved (still in the process actually) from Pa to North Carolina. We are still trying to sell our house there and I have an apartment here. It has been a crazy, hectic, stressful month or so and I really have not been able to sit down and review anything as of late. Trying to find a place here is not as simple as going out on my deck and getting it done. Unfortunately I think reviews may be put on the back burner for awhile this year as I go through this transition period. There really isn’t a great place that I have found that I can kick back and get it done. I wish I had a balcony at the apartment but I do not. I cannot wait to sell the house and get the new one built!
In the meantime, I will try to provide you with valuable content and cigar topics and information. I have a new page dedicated to cigar news and I want to reach out to a few people in regards to that and make sure they are cool with me sharing their content. Hopefully this will grow to the point where I will get news firsthand but until then I will have to share.
I am pretty bummed as I will likely miss out on reviewing some great releases for this year. As much as I would love to provide you with new content, this is not something I have control over right now. One thing for certain, as soon as I get the chance and I can find a nice spot, I will be back at it. I have some great sticks waiting that I really want to review.
If you want to go back and look at any of the reviews that I have done over the past year or so, please click here on the link under the Archives tab on the right. www.cigarhawkblog.wordpress.com
I have spent the last 2 weeks on the road and haven’t had a lot of success finding cigar lounges in the areas I travel to for work. I have been to JR Cigars in Burlington and Havana Phil’s in Greensboro. They are a bit of a drive but I have a feeling I will be spending some time at Havana Phil’s.
I have enjoyed a few sticks over the past couple of weeks but not like I normally do. Take what you can get right. Quality over quantity anyway. I will post some pics on the next post. I have a busy week of travel and work, then heading to Pa for the weekend so it may be a few days until I get the chance. Keep checking back and please give me your feedback. Also, be sure to share and follow me on social media. I appreciate it. Until next time, long ashes and full glasses. Peace.
